SMC-BMC Moulding Press
Description
Hydromechanic SMC/BMC molding press use in molding industries as automobile industries, electrical industries, bath and kitchenware industries.
This press consists of two heated platens that are used to compress the SMC or BMC material under high pressure and temperature to form a finished part. The process involves placing the SMC or BMC material into a mold cavity and then applying pressure to the material until it fills the mold cavity and takes the desired shape.
These compounds are moulded at High temperature and High Pressure so that a Final Shape of the Component has been made with high Geometrical Accuracies. The Weight of the final component is lighter as compared to the components made from Steel and Aluminium and The Components made from SMC / BMC Compound also has the capability to resist heat and provide the Strength, Mechanical Integrity as compared to Thermoplastics.
Molding compounds are particularly formable as materials made from thermoset resins and reinforcing glass fibers. This technology is particularly convincing for complex, dimensionally accurate components as an alternative to steel or aluminium.
